Give every year. Make a difference every day.

Give Every Year.

Your gift to Columbia Basin College is more than an act of generosity. It is an important investment in the future of our community.

Donate Now

The CBC Foundation was established in 1984 to give individuals, organizations, and businesses the opportunity to directly invest in the educational mission of CBC. As an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization, donations to the CBC Foundation are tax deductible and may be eligible for matching funds. Many corporations also participate in matching gift programs for donations by their employees.

The CBC Foundation offers many ways in which you can financially assist the College. These include:

  •  Outright gifts of cash
  •  Real estate
  •  Life insurance
  •  Appreciated stock
  •  Specific equipment donations

You may wish to make arrangements now to provide gifts in the future. Such deferred giving may be through:

  • Bequests in your will
  • Gifts of life insurance
  • Gifts of real estate
  • Charitable gift annuities
  • Charitable trusts

The CBC Foundation can receive almost any item of value with corresponding tax benefits going to the donor. Donors are encouraged to consult an accountant, tax attorney, or financial advisor in order to maximize the investment benefit of gifts to the Foundation.

Annual Giving
Giving an annual gift makes a difference daily to the support the Foundation can provide to the College. The annual gift can be directed to support Athletics, the Faculty Excellence Fund, the Resource Center, or department of your choice.

Annual Scholarship Fund
The Annual Scholarship Fund expands educational opportunities and ambitions, frees students to focus on their studies, and enables them to grow through participation in campus and community activities.

Scholarship Endowments
Both endowed and general scholarship fund support is sought. An endowed scholarship can be initiated by an individual, group, or business through a donation of $25,000, which will create a perpetual scholarship in the donor's name, or as a memorial to a loved one. Endowments may be built with annual gifts or with a one-time donation.

Planned Giving
Gifts to the CBC Foundation through wills, life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, and other methods are recognized through our Legacy Society. Staff in the Foundation office are available to assist you with an appropriate giving strategy.

Making a Difference
The CBC Foundation's impact on the quality and diversity of higher education in our community depends on the generosity of its supporters. Your donation may be used to assist an area of greatest need at CBC.

Through the CBC Foundation, gifts from the community have:

  • Given more than $1.4 million in scholarships to hundreds of deserving students
  • Equipped CBC instructional departments with essential education equipment and teaching materials
